Job Position Summary:
Marketing Specialist
In September 2023, I stepped into the role of Marketing Specialist at Ferndale Public Schools. This experience pushed me to adapt and grow in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment quickly. Based in the Central Office, I worked alongside district leadership to support all seven schools, each with its own unique needs and stories to tell.
I became the go-to resource for building and maintaining the district’s brand, both internally and externally, with a strong focus on social media. My role kept me constantly moving—developing creative ideas, capturing content, and producing marketing materials using my background in photography and graphic design.
One of the most rewarding parts of the job was being present at events like Homecoming, athletic games, and Family Nights—capturing and sharing those moments in real time to highlight the energy and pride within the district.

Website Rebrand
I played a key role in the rebrand and ongoing maintenance of Ferndale Public Schools’ website, helping transform it into a more modern, accessible, and user-focused platform. I worked to ensure the site reflected the district’s new brand identity while improving overall navigation and usability for students, families, and staff.
Beyond the initial rebrand, I was responsible for keeping the website current and functional—regularly updating content, supporting school pages, and ensuring consistent messaging across all seven buildings. My focus was on making information easy to find, visually engaging, and aligned with the district’s voice and goals.
2025 Bond Proposal Campaign
For the 2025 Bond Proposal Campaign, I led the district’s marketing and communications strategy to inform and engage the community. I developed a cohesive campaign across social media, digital platforms, and print materials to clearly communicate the bond’s purpose, impact, and benefits for students and families.
My work focused on breaking down complex information into accessible, visually engaging content—helping build transparency and trust with stakeholders. I captured and shared real moments from across the district to reinforce the message and highlight what was at stake. Through consistent messaging and strategic outreach, the campaign successfully increased community awareness and played a key role in supporting the bond’s passage.
